The increasing demand for precise surface treatment techniques in multiple industries has spurred considerable investigation into laser ablation. This study explicitly compares the effectiveness of pulsed laser ablation for the elimination of both paint coatings and rust scale from ferrous substrates. We determined that while both materials are vul
